About Catherine

My name is Catherine, and I am a qualified yoga teacher with lifelong experience in both the health field and teaching.
My approach to yoga is therapeutic, calm and rooted in personal insight – and in respect for the body's natural limits.

My path to yoga began through rehabilitation after a serious car accident as a child. Since then, I have lived with chronic pain and migraines, using both physical therapy, medication, and yoga as part of a long-term management.
Yoga became a daily practice for me five years ago – and has had a huge impact on how I manage pain, stress and everyday functioning. It’s not about “getting well” – but about living better in what is. With breathing, presence and self-care.

I am a trained teacher and have run an animal clinic for 15 years with my husband, who is a veterinarian. In addition, I am a mother of children with autism, and therefore have long and close experience with mental health, neurodiversity and learning disabilities – both professionally and personally.

In 2024, I completed my yoga teacher training and was certified through Yoga Alliance. My final teaching, “Hatha Yoga for a Miserable Day,” is available on YouTube and has received particularly positive feedback for its honest and practical approach.

I teach Hatha, Yin and Restorative yoga - with particular focus on:
- people with rheumatism, pain or injuries
– those living with stress, burnout or mental health issues
– people who seek security, presence and peace

Through CatherineYoga – Pine Tree Yoga Resort, I want to share a practice that supports healing, without promising healing.
Yoga cannot cure illness, but it can strengthen the nervous system, open up for deeper breathing and help you master what is – with greater calm and connection.
